Christina Lee Avila MD, MPH

Dr. Christina Avila is a dermatologist dedicated to providing thoughtful, patient-centered skin care. She believes in enhancing natural features while preserving what makes each person unique - never a one-size-fits-all approach.

Her practice focuses on medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology with a particular interest in acne, skin cancer detection and surgery, scar revision, inflammatory skin conditions, and aesthetic treatments. She combines clinical expertise with a personalized approach, ensuring patients feel heard, understood, and confident in their care.

Dr. Avila's philosophy is simple: effective, honest dermatology that prioritizes long-term skin health and subtle, natural results.

Born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Avila brings a multicultural perspective to her practice. She is half Korean and her early exposure to Korean skincare continues to influence her appreciation for prevention, skin health, and thoughtful aesthetic care.

She lives in coastal North Carolina with her husband Marcos and their two children. Outside of medicine, she enjoys yoga, running, and spending time with her animals--especially bulldogs. She is proud to call this her new home and is committed to serving her local community.
